Dr. J.J. Magdum Polytechnic is running Diploma in Electronics & Telecommunication Engg. since from 2009-10  with the intake capacity of 60 students.
The institution is going to offer Diploma in Electronics & Telecommunication Engg. course for the candidates having a minimum 50% in aggregate in school leaving certificate ( S.S.C.) examination. This is the minimum qualification to acquire admission to above said course. This course was recognized by M.S.B.T.E., DTE and AICTE New Delhi. The candidate possessing above diploma course is eligible to serve the job in state government central government, public & private sector industries, organization such as telephone industries,AIR,civil aviation & police wireless departments  and IT company  all over India & abroad

The Electronics & Telecommunication Engg. course is always improving the quality of education, because of which students can take up the new challenges in the field of engineering. The department has 3200 sft area and has five well-equipped laboratories as per the requirement of MSBTE, DTE Mumbai and AICTE Delhi.

  • Computer Lab

The department has a Project lab to facilitate the students to work on their project in the final semester.
The department is headed by Prof. S. C. Karvekar who has 24 years of experience in teaching. The department has seven highly experienced and qualified team of hard working, competent and devoted teaching and supporting staff and well equipped laboratories. The departmental staffs’ average experience is 17 years, and the most junior staff has experience of 10 years. The faculty members are capable of guiding the students with knowledge and skills required to handle challenges of the industry requirement and advance technological development. Our faculty updates their knowledge by referring to journals, attending workshops. The course of teaching involves class room discussions, laboratory experimentation, seminars and also they encourage students to do mini projects and present technical papers, technical seminars, group discussions etc. to enrich the students with sound technical knowledge.
The faculty members look after the class as guardians to monitor the attendance and to solve academic problems of the students. Parents of absent students are contacted on telephone. Also parents are informed about the performance and overall attendance of their ward via letters. Two tests are conducted in each semester. Personal attention is given to each and every student in the class. Individual parent meetings are organized once in semester for all students.
